OPTIMISED WATER CONNECTIONS
OPTIMIZED WATER CONNECTIONS
Optimized water connections
The optimised water inlet and outlet ensure complete emptying and prevent sedimentation of solids at the edges.
Bends and diversions in the water distribution and the cooling tower construction can cause unfavourable flow conditions. The different flow rates and locally induced turbulences in the circulating water may favour the depositing of solids, especially at edges. Deposits and the resulting biofilm are in turn a breeding ground for many microorganisms and should therefore be prevented as much as possible.
Stagnant water remaining in downtimes in piping and cooling tower troughs can also provide a basis for germination. Even the slightly sloping distribution pipe and the consistently implemented measures for a complete emptying discourage the formation of nucleation-promoting stagnant water.
